Guide: it is a necessary skill for every employee and manager to set correct goals and plans.
Management by objectives is that the top management of an organization puts forward the general objectives of the organization in a certain period of time, and then each department and employee in the organization determine their respective sub objectives according to the general objectives, and actively strive for their respective sub objectives on the premise of obtaining appropriate allocation of resources.
Planning is the first function of management, which is to make choices and specific arrangements for the goals to be
pursued and action plans to be taken in advance before the actual action.
Target:
It's the state that you want to achieve. Plan is some methods and steps to achieve the state. This is the goal and plan. A goal without a plan is a fantasy, and a plan without a goal is futile. Therefore, there should be a plan and a goal, and the two should be integrated.
1. Definition of objectives and plans
In an enterprise, there are both piecework workers and time workers. The enthusiasm of piecework workers will be relatively high, because time workers have no goals for piecework workers.
Case 1
In the industrial park, there is a factory in Italy, which makes a special kind of spare parts. It is not an ordinary spare part. It is stipulated that 100 to 150 spare parts should be made every day. A class can make 100 to 120 spare parts, but when the workers reach 100, they will turn off the machine and sleep in the workshop until they come home from work.
The management cadre said to the boss: can we do this? How about 120 prizes? No, it has to be 150. How about 150? 150 is hard work.
Therefore, the factory does not have a target management, and there is no target management. You can do 100 every day, and then sleep in the workshop.
As long as there are goals, plans and workload for employees, then the enterprise management is better. If there is no workload and no requirement, this is not good. This shows the role of goals. It is different for a person to have goals and not have goals.
People like bowling for the following reasons:
一、The goal is clear, that is to knock down the ball bottle in front of us;
二、The goal of bowling is attainable;
三、It is challenging and difficult to play,
四、When you finish it, you will score immediately, and the feedback will be timely.
If the work can be designed as bowling, then the employee likes to play, otherwise he doesn't like to play, and if he doesn't like to play, he can't do it well. Therefore, the importance of goals to employees lies in this.
Everyone likes the right goal. Of course, he doesn't like setting too high a goal, so in fact, most employees still like to have a goal, because it's boring to have no goal. They are working around all day, and they don't know what to do or what to do. Therefore, the goal has a great encouraging effect on employees, but the goal should be appropriate.
