What is the most appropriate distance between warehouse shelves?
I mainly want to know how to calculate the distance between shelves? Are there any hard and fast rules in the relevant documents? Is the distance between using a forklift and a stacker different? Are there any regulations for shelf arrangement? At present, the shelves of the warehouse are arranged in parallel with the aisle in the middle, can it be changed to leave the aisle on one side? And how wide is the middle channel?
How much is the distance between warehouse shelves? There is no uniform standard for this. KEENPACE introduces the following conventional determination methods:
For light-duty and medium-duty racks, all are handled manually, and the width between the racks should ensure that the width of the largest packing box on the rack +10cm, and the normal one is about 80cm.
For heavy-duty racks, the aisle must at least be as large as the turning radius of the forklift. Generally, it should be at least 2.5 meters above.
If it is manual access to the goods, it is generally between 80 and 120 (mm). If it is a forklift operation, the minimum is two meters. This is the smallest forklift. It is recommended to leave two meters four or two meters six, depending on the actual situation. , Including the items placed on the shelves, the equipment to be taken, such as the distance between the forklifts and so on.
Generally, it is about two meters. If there is a forklift, it depends on the model of the forklift. If it is a large domestic forklift, it will be about 4 meters. If it is a small forklift or only a hydraulic trailer, then 2.5 meters to 3 meters is enough.
In addition, the distance between warehouse shelves does not have a standard distance. Usually, the methods for determining are as follows:
1. If the entire manual handling operation is carried out, the distance of the location parts should be greater than the width of the largest packing box used on the location + 20cm;
2. If the storage location needs electric forklift to carry, the distance between storage locations is the revolving diameter of "electric forklift + upper pallet" + U-turn safety distance;
3. If the storage location requires a fuel forklift, the distance between the storage locations is the revolving diameter of "fuel forklift + upper pallet" + U-turn insurance distance
4. If a pallet needs to be placed at the bottom of the storage location, the upper layer is handled manually, and the distance between the storage locations is the rotatable diameter of "manual forklift + pallet" + 20cm;
